J3 - Bristol City Council & Knightstone Housing Association - £9M
A major mixed-use development on Junction 3 of the M32, Bristol J3 incorporates a new Library learning centre, community education rooms, Crèche, 59 new social housing units, and 7 commercial units. All housing is to be built to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3, Lifetime Homes and Building for Life Silver standards. The learning centre is to achieve BREEAM very good standard. Commenced on-site Sept 2010 and due for completion Spring 2012. Undertaken under the auspices of gcp architects

Bristol Academy of Sport, Filton College

Preston Plucknett Manor
The full building survey and assessment of the medieval manor of Preston Plucknett, Somerset which identified many previously unpublished and important features including original ironwork, and an early C15th Fireplace. Extensive research into the building, its estate and contemporary buildings has established the likely original plan of the house and identified a number of medieval garden features.

114 Jacob Street
A commercial residential development of 31 flats on a restricted site within the heart of the Old Market conservation area, Bristol. The project required the conservation of elements of the existing industrial works in an ambitious courtyard scheme culminating in a five-storey copper-clad tower. Undertaken under the auspices of gcp architects

Lilliput Castle, Bath
3D computer reconstruction and design analysis a lost C18th building by John Wood - Lilliput Castle - for publication in an academic paper by Catherine Spence and an animated fly-through for use in lectures.

Keynsham Abbey, Somerset
A trustee of the Keynsham Heritage Trust David Martyn was invited to develop a 3D model of the lost remains of Keynsham abbey. Now beneath a bypass road the remains were recorded in the 1960’s and an analysis of the measured plan and existing features was an essential part of the exercise of creating an accurate and realistic representation of the Abbey complex.

Baptist Mills Brass Works, Bristol
Reinterpretation of the early C18th Brass Mills established by Abraham Darby at Baptist Mills, Bristol. Collection and assessment of all visual and cartographic material to develop a chronology of development of a nationally important early Industrial site now entirely lost beneath the M32 motorway. Discoveries enabled the excavation of a previously unidentified building from the period of the brass works during construction of the Junction 3 project.

St John’s Church, Yeovil
Assessment and reappraisal of the medieval design principles of St John's Church, Yeovil and the secure attribution of the design to William Wynford. Published in the form of 12 exhibition panels presented at National Archaeology Day 2004.

Redcatch Road
Design and extensive community consultation involving a former petrol station site and proposals for 8 houses and 13 flats. Undertaken under the auspices of gcp architects
