Heritage Services

We offer a wide-range of services in the heritage and conservation sector.

Our belief is that a full understanding of the history and development of a building can inform an appropriate response to development or conservation. Our sensitivity to historic buildings does not preclude bringing a positive and sometimes challenging approach to reuse and contemporary adaptation bringing the best of old and new together.

Some of our past work has involved the architectural, archaeological, and research publication fields and our reputation in this sphere continues to grow.

Our pre-planning services are comprehensive. We can undertake archaeological desk-based assessments, detailed historic building studies, conservation management plans, feasibility studies, internal audits, photographic work, and other reports for planning and listed building applications, or just for your own interest and understanding of your property. We can also undertake measured building surveys of historic properties where often a trained eye is required to identify and record period features.

Our practical and imaginative approach to our architectural services enables us to bring a balanced approach to conservation and development of a listed building. We have a background of strong and positive dialogue with listed building and conservation officers in securing the best for properties we are engaged with.

If you are looking at redeveloping or restoring a property, whether a listed building, or one within a conservation area, we offer an integrated architectural and project management service to achieve an appropriate response to the building and your needs. Often in close collaboration with other consultants and specialists we can find the appropriate solution for you and your property.
